Highlighting the important bars in Alan's method helps to keep you alert to the forecast and strategies they indicate.

AlanBars by dblue
dblue's AlanBars.dat template highlights Bars 1, 8, and 11. There are
two other features the user can "turn on" by ticking the check boxes on the
appropriate lines:
(1) a feature that colors bars that are making
higher highs (or lower lows), which is useful for Alan's 1-2-3-4 HH or LL setup.
(2) a bar counting feature on the DYO that can be turned on to number all the
bars (starting from 8:20am ET), useful when needing to identifying other bars,
or for finding missing bars.
The main templates page has various alternative bar counting and time ribbon templates.

This is simply dblue's template with only Bars 1, 8, 11, and
EOD (End of Day) highlighted.
Traders should be knowledgeable about how to download and apply them and are referred to the Ensign Help pages for further reading.
